Proyecto Piloto de Asistencia a la Microempresa Rural y Latina.
El servicio de Extension de La Universidad Estatal del Estado de Washington ha iniciado un nuevo proyecto de apoyo a la microempresa rural y Latina en los condados de Adams, Benton, Douglas, Franklin y Grant. Los objetivos incluyen incrementar los pequeños negocios rurales y Latinos en esos condados. Si usted pensó o está pensando en la posibilidad de establecer un pequeño negocio en uno de los condados mencionados; este es su proyecto que lo ayudara a estar mejor preparado para esa posibilidad.

Rural/Latino Microenterprise Assistance Pilot Project
WSU Extension, through its Horizons Project and in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration and Washington State Small Business Development Centers Network has launched a special rural and Latino microenterprise pilot project in the counties of Adams, Benton, Douglas, Franklin and Grant.
Goals include:
- increased rural and Latino small business start-ups
- increased micro-lending
- increased support and assistance
- increased provider networking
- increased community/institutional capacity-building (including cultural competency) for entrepreneurial support
August - December 2009:
- Assess the market potential for rural and Latino entrepreneurship
- Convene a regional gathering and traqining for most county-level small business assistance groups and organizations
- Identify and train a cohort of prospective small business owners - startups
- Ongoing counseling and mentoring services
- Record/create digital training materials
